One of the right decisions came in a few months, and I want to share it. To fix the puller on the carriage in case of slipping out of the slot, you need to use a clamp. I used an F-shaped, but an appropriately sized C-shaped would also work. It is clamped strictly along the axis of the carriage, between its left shaft and the puller, with a force of about 20 kN. After unscrewing, the clamp must be loosened, otherwise it will prevent unscrewing (albeit weakly, i.e. its thread with a larger pitch than in the carriage).
