- With hot water. This method is excellent for removing both elastic and rigid grips, however, it can severely damage the unit and make it unusable for later use. For this method, you will need a large container of hot water. Put the scooter so that the handles with grips are lowered into a container of water and hold it there for 3-4 minutes, then try to remove the grip.
- We use a compressor. In this case, the fitting from the hose is applied to the gap between the handle and the grip and a gradual supply of air is carried out until the grip is removed without any special difficulties.
Why do we need?

You can do without ties, because in order to put on the grips, a sliding liquid is also suitable, as in the case of removing the handles. They will need to be inserted into the grip and evenly distributed around the circumference. After that, in a circular motion, you will need to put the handle on the steering tube. It will glide perfectly for sure. At the end of the procedure, carefully pull out the clamps. In some cases, the grip moves and should not be fully worn. It is advisable to leave about five millimeters of free space.
Treatment with oil or soapy water
You can also use liquids such as soapy water, oil, or alcohol instead of water. But after that, you will need to wait a couple of hours for the alcohol or oil to disappear, since otherwise the new pens that you put on will turn. Fifteen minutes will be enough for the alcohol to disappear, but if you used oil, it will take at least a day for the surface to stop sliding.

At the end, we take out the knitting needles and that’s it.

How to put on grips
To put the grips on the steering wheel, we need alcohol or our old assistant water. Before putting on the grip, wipe its inner surface with alcohol or water. In the first case, you need to act quickly, since alcohol tends to evaporate in a matter of seconds. But this is also its indisputable advantage. After a couple of minutes, the alcohol will disappear, and the grip will sit like a glove. The water stays inside for much longer, sometimes up to a day. The second way to put on new grips is also pretty simple. We will need a saucepan, water, some tongs, for example, for a cake, and gloves. Pour water into a saucepan, wait for it to boil, put the brand new grips in there for a couple of minutes, pull it out with tongs (boiling water warmed up the grips) and put it on the steering wheel, after pulling gloves on our hands (the grips are still hot).
